The countdown starts once the device connects in any of the eight countries. That rule matters most on island-hopping routes, where days can pass between stops before the phone goes online again.
Guam sits outside the map
Guam is the one destination Oceanlink does not reach, the sole gap in an eight-country network. A trip that continues to Guam after any of the eight countries needs a separate data plan for that leg. The profile will not pick up a signal there; the eight covered countries stay on the same map. Australia and New Zealand lead the list as the two biggest markets. Checking the itinerary against those eight names before departure avoids a dead connection on a Guam stopover.
Recharging without a deadline
